Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled and proactive Cybersecurity Specialist to join their technology team. This hybrid role is designed for a technical professional who possesses a strong foundation in cybersecurity threat management while maintaining the versatility to provide high-level IT support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fortifying the digital ecosystem against sophisticated threats while ensuring seamless operational continuity for our legal and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity Operations • Threat Intelligence: Actively monitor security systems (SIEM) to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats and operational anomalies. • Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and comprehensive security assessments to identify risks. • Incident Response: Lead security investigations and perform detailed root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. • Infrastructure Security: Implement and maintain robust firewall, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems (e.g., Sophos). • Governance & Compliance: Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with global frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.). • Risk Strategy: Perform risk assessments and recommend proactive mitigation strategies. • Education: Develop and deliver security awareness training to ensure all staff adhere to best practices.
IT Support & Operations • Advanced Technical Support: Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for end-users, ensuring minimal downtime. • System Administration: Manage and optimize Active Directory and Office 365 environments. • Infrastructure Support: Maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, and server health.
• Lifecycle Management: Oversee system updates, patching cycles, and data backup protocols. • Asset Oversight: Manage IT asset inventory and documentation through our ticketing system (e.g., Jira/ServiceNow).
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Experience: 3–4 years of dedicated experience in cybersecurity or a related IT field.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP) are highly preferred.
Core Technical Skills:
o Network Security: Proficient in TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and firewall administration.
o Security Tooling: Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS).
o Systems Expertise: Competency in Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
o Automation: Basic scripting proficiency (Python, PowerShell) for task automation.
Soft Skills:
o Executive Presence: Ability to communicate technical risks clearly to nontechnical stakeholders.
o Service Excellence: A strong customer-service mindset with the ability to manage support requests with urgency and precision.
o Proactivity: A self-starter capable of identifying and resolving issues before they impact business operations.
