Biography
Kennedy Kinikanwo-Wali is a Trainee Associate in the firm’s Lagos office, where he focuses on corporate governance and regulatory compliance, energy and natural resources, banking, finance and capital markets, corporate and commercial law, and dispute resolution.
Kennedy’s experience centers on supporting clients and senior team members on a broad range of advisory, transactional, regulatory, and contentious matters. His work includes legal research, drafting, due diligence, regulatory advisory, transaction support, and dispute resolution across multiple industries.
Before joining the firm, Kennedy developed a strong academic foundation in foreign direct investment and commercial arbitration law. He graduated with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from the University of Lagos and subsequently obtained his B. L. from the Nigerian Law School, also with Second Class Honours (Upper Division). He has been admitted into the legal profession as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Kennedy is recognized for his strong analytical ability, intellectual rigor, and practical approach to solving complex legal and regulatory issues. He combines sound legal reasoning with meticulous research and drafting skills to deliver commercially focused legal solutions.
He is committed to continually developing his technical expertise and commercial awareness to effectively advise clients in an evolving business and regulatory environment.
