Efechia Igbigbi-Anuku (“Efe”) is a multifaceted strategic leader whose career is defined by the powerful intersection of legal acumen and organisational development. Leveraging over 16 years of cross-functional experience and expertise, she serves as a vital catalyst for corporate growth, masterfully aligning human capital strategy with broader legal, business and operational objectives.
As a Lawyer, Chartered Secretary, and globally licensed Human Resource Professional (SPHRi & CIPM), Efe possesses a rare and highly sought-after skill set. Her specialised expertise in corporate and commercial law, employment law and human capital building and management enables her to architect robust legal and business functions, manage large-scale administrative operations, and steer general corporate strategy with precision and legal foresight.
Before bringing her strategic vision to KENNA, Efe honed her expertise within highly reputable organisations across the oil and gas, consulting, and elite legal services sectors. She is recognised not just for her legal insight, but for her ability to transform operations and build resilient, high-performing cultures.
Representative Experience
• Directed high-level transaction structuring for multinational and tier-one clients, including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts, Gas Sales Agreements (GSA), Joint Ventures (JV), syndicated loans, project management agreements, and Shareholders’ agreements.
• Led the legal structuring, negotiation, and establishment of a landmark paediatric medical centre in direct collaboration with a state government.
• Acted as the primary liaison for regulatory advisory and negotiations with key government agencies, including the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), State IRS, Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and the National Pension Commission (PenCom).
• Served as strategic counsel to executive management and diverse corporate clients. Provided actionable legal advisory on complex commercial transactions, labour and employment law, intellectual property, tax, and corporate immigration.
• Managed end-to-end secretarial operations for a broad portfolio of companies. Executed corporate incorporations, complex restructuring, and statutory filings, while overseeing Board of Directors meetings, procedural integrity, and the preparation of vital pre- and post-meeting documentation.
