Biography

Peter Afuba (jnr.) is a Senior Associate at the firm, with a focus on litigation, regulatory compliance, and corporate-commercial law. Peter brings to KENNA extensive experience across diverse areas of dispute resolution, and has a growing interest in emerging fields such as intellectual property, arbitration, and aviation law.

Before joining the firm, he served as a Senior Associate at Saxum Legal (Afuba SAN, Anaenugwu SAN, Obi SAN & Partners), where he led high-value litigation, developed case strategies, reviewed legal documentation, and provided advisory services to a wide range of clients. He began his legal career during his NYSC with the Chambers of Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, where he honed vital litigation and client management skills.

He is well-regarded for his persuasive advocacy, legal analysis, and strong research acumen. He is also a certified ADR Registrar/Secretary by the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), and has delivered paper presentations on topical legal issues.

Peter continues to engage actively in professional development and bar activities. He previously served as Publicity Secretary of the Young Lawyers Forum, NBA Onitsha Branch, and is currently a member of the NBA Section on Business Law (SBL) Technology Committee.
