• Involved in the legal representation of an IOC in gas flaring claim put at $85 Million in one of the pioneering cases brought under the Petroleum Industry Act (passed in 2021) to test the new regime on gas flaring
• Worked on multiple banker-customer disputes stemming from failed FX bids initiated by the Banks, on behalf of major manufacturing companies, following the Central Bank of Nigeria’s return of undelivered FX Forward Contracts in a claim exceeding $7m
• Secured judgment of over 3 billion Naira for a major manufacturing line in a banker-customer dispute that tests a Bank’s obligation to convert a USD denominated facility to Naira in a line with the underlying Bank Facility Letters.
• Involved in host communities dispute involving an IOC over the set up and management of a Trust in a claim of over NGN2.6bn in what examines the extent of a Settlor’s responsibility in the effective administration of a Host Community Trust under the Petroleum Industry Act.
• Successfully defended the Country’s Apex Bank in an action alleging data breach under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023.
