Data Privacy Week 2026 at the Faculty of Law, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC).

Overview

When the calendar marked Data Privacy Week, our KENNA ESG Club and Data Protection Unit saw an opportunity beyond the usual activities. We took the conversation to the next generation of lawyers. The theme: “Privacy in the Era of Emerging Technologies: Trust, Ethics, and Innovation.”Ms. Munachimso Ezeilo delivered a keynote on data minimisation and privacy by default under the NDPA 2023. There was also a debate session on the topic: “Consent is a Myth in Modern Data Protection.” The arguments were sharp, the research deep, and the energy electric. Congratulations to our winners: 🥇 Ugwu Victor, 🥈 Onwene Kamsiyochukwu Princewill, 🥉 Destiny Kingsley. Photo: A group of students of the Faculty of Law listening to the keynote speech. We also donated copies of Legal and Regulatory Aspects of Data Protection to the faculty library, because building a privacy-conscious future starts with the next generation. At KENNA, we believe that the law lives beyond boardrooms and courtrooms. It lives in classrooms, in conversations, and in the minds of young lawyers who will shape what comes next
