KENNA Marks 2025 World Environment Day In commemoration of the 2025 World Environment Day, themed “Ending Plastic Pollution,” Nigerian commercial law firm KENNA reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability with the donation of a giant recycling bin to Olomu Senior Secondary School, Ajah, Lagos State. The donation, executed in partnership with FABE International Foundation as part of a wider school-based recycling initiative, is aimed at promoting responsible waste management, particularly the segregation of plastic waste such as Polyethene Terephthalate (PET), within school communities.
During the interactive handover session with the students and staff, key conversations were held around proper waste disposal, the environmental threat posed by plastic pollution, and the critical role of young people in shaping a cleaner, safer future. Sustainability & Development Manager at KENNA, Funmilayo Adeshina, commented: “At KENNA, we believe that sustainability begins with education. By investing in initiatives like this, we are not only helping to embed recycling practices in schools, but we are also shaping a new generation of environmentally conscious citizens,” Adeshina said. This initiative forms part of KENNA’s broader corporate sustainability strategy, which focuses on long-term social and environmental impact through advocacy, education, and partnerships.
