Overview
Youth engagement and environmental sustainability are core focus areas for KENNA. In partnership with the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF), KENNA took part in the 2026 World Environment Day celebration at the Lekki Conservation Centre, Lagos.
The theme was "Rethinking Systems for Climate Action." The event moved beyond traditional environmental awareness to a Youth-Led Systemic Dialogue, with student representatives at the centre of the conversation.
KENNA team, led by one of its partners, Mr Daze Nga, served as a panellist on "Empowering the Next Generation of Climate Leaders: Transforming Knowledge into Action." He explored how corporate mentorship, systemic thinking, and youth engagement can drive meaningful climate action.
This session was led by student innovation on display, including a waste-sorting machine that separates metal from plastic, a device to help forest guards detect poachers and an upcycled fashion display made from plastic waste
