Overview
Strong governance and responsible data practices are at the heart of KENNA’s ESG agenda. As part of our strategic outreach, our team led a presentation on data protection and privacy for the legal team at NSP.
The session followed the recent sanction of Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company for a data breach, and the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission’s (NERC) directive that stakeholders across the power sector prioritise data protection compliance.
NSP’s Chief Legal Officer, Mr. Olawale Aro, and his team appreciated the training, which covered data protection and privacy as a growing compliance priority for organisations handling large volumes of customer data. At KENNA, we share legal knowledge with the sectors that need it, and our lawyers take part directly in this work.
