KENNA Partners with Ikeja Lions Club to Donate Medical Equipment to LASUTH for 2025 World Humanitarian DayIn commemoration of the 2025 World Humanitarian Day, held annually on August 19, commercial law firm KENNA partnered with the Ikeja Lions Club to donate mobility aids to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH). The 2025 theme, “ActForHumanity”, highlights the urgent need for greater global cooperation and responsibility. It demonstrates that humanitarian action goes beyond providing immediate relief, as it is also about building lasting solutions, strengthening resilience, and safeguarding human rights. Speaking at the handover event, Daze Nga, Managing Counsel at KENNA, reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to initiatives that touch lives and advance human dignity.
He stated, “Our vision at KENNA goes beyond the practice of law. It is about creating access, enabling justice, and empowering communities. Through this partnership, we are proud to make a tangible contribution to healthcare delivery, particularly for the vulnerable.”Echoing this commitment, Lion Ebenezer Olorunfemi, President of the Ikeja Lions Club, noted that the collaboration exemplifies service to humanity. “The theme of World Humanitarian Day reminds us of the urgent need to confront global challenges with compassion. This donation represents our dedication to easing the plight of the less privileged and staying true to the spirit of service,” he said. Receiving the medical equipment on behalf of LASUTH, Professor Adetokunbo O.
Fabamwo, the Chief Medical Director, expressed appreciation to both organisations for their continued support. “The welfare of vulnerable patients has always been a priority for the Lions Club, and this gesture, with the involvement of KENNA, will be put to judicious use for the benefit of mankind,” he said. The 2025 donation follows KENNA’s 2024 commemoration of World Humanitarian Day, during which the firm donated vital medical supplies to the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) to aid their medical rescue mission. Other members of KENNA present at the event included Adekunle Omidiora, Practice Director, and Theresa Thomas, Client Experience Officer, who joined in reaffirming the firm’s commitment to social responsibility and humanitarian service.
